Centre & Major Departments

Hedra has been instrumental in shaping the changes facing central government such as the Gershon review and Transformational Government. We have developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing the departments in implementing CSR07, the capability review, shared services and Transformational Government.

Our recent experience includes:

  • working in partnership with the Cabinet Office’s E-Government Unit to draw up the 'Transformational Government' IT strategy
  • supporting the Gershon Review team in HM Treasury in developing their public sector efficiency report
  • Hedra is managing the Cabinet Office ICT shared services procurement, Project ISAAC, which is proving to be an exemplar in infrastructure shared services.

Strategy and transformation
Hedra’s strategy and transformation capability is focused on keeping pace with the dynamic nature of central government change. Our core focus in 2007 will be the transformation challenges faced by departments by the capability review and shared services.

Value for money
The challenges presented by the Gershon Review, by CSR07 and everyday pressures on public sector bodies, have made value for money more important than ever. Hedra’s cost reduction process is designed to drive out efficiencies and savings whilst simultaneously maintaining and enhancing the public services delivered.

Complex procurement
Hedra has utilised its extensive experience in shared services consulting to develop effective methodologies in procuring major shared services programmes.
