We have a simple ambition – to help our clients deliver their vision. We understand that we can only achieve this if we have an unrivalled understanding of the market and environment within which our clients operate. To achieve this level of excellence we know that we have to select our markets carefully. That is why we have deliberately chosen to work in public services, including Utilities, Energy and Infrastructure and the public sector supply markets.
To help our clients realise their ambitions we know that we have to work with them over long periods and become their trusted partners. It means that we work to build and implement new solutions and services with our clients as well as help them to determine their strategies. Inevitably, the majority of the work we do is about ensuring organisations reap the benefits of their technology investments – we know that this can only be achieved by:
- ensuring that business needs drive technology investments
- working with our clients and their people, collaboratively and in joint teams focused on one goal
- working with alliance partners to ensure our clients get ‘best-in-class’ advice and support
- being around for our clients when times are difficult as well as when things are going well.
We are acutely aware that we operate in three markets, clients, people and investors. We know that we need to deliver on the aspirations of all three stakeholder groups and we have a simple mantra that applies to all three communities:
- only our clients have the right to judge the success of our work for them
- only our people can tell us whether we are creating the right conditions for their personal development and career reward
- only our investors can decide whether we are providing them with the requisite economic return.
Our values system is what creates a unique culture for how we run our business, engage with clients and alliance partners, treat colleagues and respond to our investors. We have four very clear principles:

- Integrity – to underpin all our business dealings
- Openness – to address challenges head on, build shared purpose, improve what we do and learn lessons from what we could do better
- Accountability – to deliver results.
Values and behaviours shape our identity – more than anything else they provide Hedra with distinctiveness in everything that we do. Our values are non-negotiable and myself and all Hedra leaders are totally committed to role modelling these.
Hedra and Hedra people are sensitive to our role in the community and society and to the importance of behaving as responsible corporate citizens. We support our people who make huge contributions to chosen charities, we have a corporate programme that supports the charity nominated by our people and we actively seek to minimise any damage the conduct of our business might have on the environment.
