Hedra is committed to enabling regulators and their delivery agents to meet outcome targets by working more effectively and creating better, simpler regulatory regimes.  Our track-record includes work with Defra, DTI, DCMS and their families of delivery agents: and industry regulators such as Ofcom and Ofgem. 

For example, our experience with the Defra ‘Family’ includes:

  • establishing and enhancing a shared service for Finance and HR
  • the design of a new carbon emission trading scheme
  • a major business change programme for a unit of over 1400 staff
  • defining the strategic business case for simplifying the regulatory process.

Hedra has developed a customer-focused website DTI Small Business Service.

DCMS (Department of Culture, Media & Sport) appointed Hedra to conduct a strategic board review, and we support both the Olympic Delivery Authority and National Lottery with professional procurement management.

Value for money & sustainability - is key to creating efficiency in the government’s environment sector. This includes not only headcount management, but ‘lean thinking’ to define new ways of working and improved services to customer and citizens.

Performance management - requires focus on delivering outcomes for customers, citizens and the environment. Hedra has implemented benefits management and performance management at corporate, programme and outcome level.

Establishing and enhancing shared services - is one of Hedra’s key propositions to central government. We have assisted organisations such as Defra and several of its agencies in evaluating options, encouraging sign-up, making it happen, establishing governance and transforming the customer experience.
